Nidhaanjit Jain

Hello! I am a PhD candidate in the Economics group at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. My research interests are in labor economics, organizational economics, and industrial relations. My current projects highlight how collective bargaining institutions and worker organizations respond to shocks in the form of labor laws, immigration, and statutory minimum wages.

Previously, I was a pre-doctoral researcher at Chicago Booth and an Associate at IDinsight. I have an MSc in Economics from the London School of Economics, and a BA (Honors) in Economics from St. Stephen's College, University of Delhi.

I was a visiting PhD student at the University of Copenhagen from February to April 2026, where I was hosted by Jakob Roland Munch.

I will be on the 2026-27 academic job market.
